My Tips to Be Beautiful..A plus sized guide to looking good! Step One-Hair!
About me!
Hi! I'm a 21 year old English girl, highlighted hair, blue eyes and more than a little extra weight! I decided to write this hub after years and years of struggling with how i look. Any girl who is overweight will be able to understand my feelings, being the least attractive of your friends? Being the chunkiest? This all changed when i was about 18 and realised, fat does not equal ugly! You can still be beautiful if you learn to be happy with yourself!COnfidence and learning to wear things that suit you! A few changes to your life can increase your self esteem a hundred times over! SO why not give it a try? Have a go at some of my tips, give it a week and see how you feel! New tips added regularly.
Today, we'll start at the top..Hair! If your hair looks good, you feel good!
Beautiful Hair..Beautful You!
First some do's and don't for the plus sized gal....
DO Spend the time and money on your hair, it's one of those things that the right shampoo and conditioner can make all the difference!
DON'T Wear your hair poker straight hanging either side of your face, this gives the illusion of your face being squarer and bigger than it is. Curls and waves ARE your best friend!
DO Wash your hair daily or every other daily, greasy hair is not attractive on anyone!
DON'T Use rock hard gel or mousse, hair that doesn't move always looks wrong.
DO Get your hair cut and/or dyed regularly, split ends and roots will draw peoples eyes...you'd much rather they were looking because your gorgeous!
DON'T Use straightners or blow dryers everyday. Leaving hair to dry naturally every so ofen will do wonders for how it feels!
DO Use a hair treatment once a week, something like a hair mask or leave in conditioner suited to your hair type and colour.
Healthy-looking and fabulous hair means a healthy looking and fabulous you! If you're struggling to be happy with your weight, it is important to make everything else about you perfect so it's these things they are noticing rather than your lack of confidence!
Hairstyles for the Round Faced Lady!
My first hairstyle for you girls, that always looks wonderful with minimal effort is The Natural. This is one time i'll allow you to blow dry your hair but no straightners! After bathing or showering brush your hair, then tip your head upside downand spray a nice light hair spray on the underneath of your hair..on the roots! Tip your head back up normally, proceed to blowdry trying to limit the amount you use your hair brush! The result...bouncy beautiful hair with your natural waves or curls. Stunning!
Making waves...The trick to making waves is to start your styling on damp hair..not dripping wet, it just gets too soggy but damp! There are many ways to do this. First is to just plait your hair and leave it overnight..WARNING..This has the effect of creating frizz so before plaiting make sure your use an anti-frizz cream or serum for sleek waves.
Secondly, you can use straightners or curling tongs. Curl the hair around to barrel of your tools (not too tight!), you don't want to leave it too long, about 15 to 20 seconds for lovely waves but not too curly. Continue this through your hair or for a special look curl every other lock of hair. Beautiful!
Third and final in todays tips is Curly! Follow the same instructions as with making waves but twist your hair much tighter around the tool and leave for 25 to 30 seconds. The Curly style looks stunning on everyone, no matter what your face shape!
Have fun looking gorgeous girls!
Last Words...
My final words for today are about confidence. Even with every tip i can give to make you look gorgeous, nothing is more gorgeous than confidence! My task for today is to stand in fron t of the mirror and say to yourself
I AM GORGEOUS!
Keep repeating it, try and do this every day and one day you'll believe it! It is true after all :)
